Creating Exceptional African Journeys With Expertise, Passion And Authentic Local Knowledge
Choosing the right safari company is one of the most important decisions you'll make when planning your African adventure.
We Live Africa Every Day
Unlike international agencies selling destinations from thousands of kilometres away, Giravex Safaris is proudly African owned and operated from Kampala, Uganda. We live, work and travel throughout East Africa every day.
Our team continuously visits national parks, lodges, hotels and attractions to ensure every recommendation we make is based on genuine first-hand experience, not brochures or online reviews. Because we're on the ground, we provide timely travel advice, up-to-date park information and immediate support whenever you need us.

Every Journey Is Designed Around You
No two travelers are alike, and neither should their safari be. Whether you're celebrating a honeymoon, planning a family holiday, travelling with friends, photographing wildlife, or fulfilling a lifelong dream of seeing mountain gorillas, we design every itinerary specifically around your interests, travel style and budget.
Rather than asking you to fit into fixed departures, we create experiences that fit your schedule.
Expert Advice Built On Experience
Every recommendation we make comes from genuine experience. Our travel specialists regularly inspect lodges, drive safari routes, visit national parks and take part in the activities themselves. This lets us confidently recommend accommodations, destinations and experiences that genuinely suit your expectations.
When we recommend a lodge or itinerary, it's because we know it firsthand.
Honest Pricing With Excellent Value
Planning directly with Giravex Safaris means fewer intermediaries and better value for your investment. Through our long-standing relationships with trusted hotels, safari lodges, transport providers and conservation authorities, we negotiate competitive rates while maintaining exceptional quality.
We believe transparency builds trust. Our quotations clearly explain what's included, so you can book with complete confidence.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why book directly with Giravex Safaris?
Booking direct cuts out intermediary markups, puts you in direct contact with the specialist actually planning your trip, and means any changes or questions get handled immediately by someone who knows your itinerary.
Can you customise my itinerary?
Yes — every Giravex itinerary is a starting point, not a fixed package. We'll adjust destinations, pace, accommodation level and activities until the trip matches what you actually want.
Can you arrange gorilla permits?
Yes, we secure gorilla and chimpanzee trekking permits on your behalf as part of your booking, and advise on timing given how limited permit availability can get in peak season.
Can you organise airport transfers?
Yes, airport and airstrip transfers are built into every itinerary we plan, so you're met on arrival and seen off on departure without having to arrange anything yourself.
Can you accommodate dietary requirements?
Yes — let us know any dietary needs or restrictions when you enquire, and we'll flag them to every lodge and camp on your itinerary in advance.
Can you help with visas?
We'll advise on visa requirements for your nationality and travel route, and point you to the correct application process, though the application itself is handled by you or your government's portal.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept bank transfer and major payment cards, with a deposit at booking and the balance due ahead of travel. Full details are confirmed on your quotation.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 3 to 6 months ahead, particularly for gorilla trekking permits in peak season (June to September and December to February), though shorter-notice trips can often still be arranged.
Ready To Plan Your African Adventure?
Whether you dream of tracking mountain gorillas, witnessing the Great Migration, climbing volcanic mountains or relaxing beside Africa's most beautiful lakes, our travel specialists are ready to design an unforgettable safari tailored specifically for you.
