Where You Will Go
The places this safari visits, in the order you will reach them.
A spice island off the Tanzanian coast with white-sand beaches, turquoise water and historic Stone Town.
A collapsed volcano whose floor is a natural amphitheatre for black rhinos, lions and elephants.
Tanzania’s endless plains and the setting of the great wildebeest migration.
Day By Day Itinerary
Every day is planned by our local team and can be adjusted to your pace.
Arrival and an Arusha overnight
Meet your transfer guide at Kilimanjaro airport and continue to Arusha. Your selected accommodation provides a place to recover from the journey before the safari begins. A short briefing introduces the following days and confirms departure arrangements. Dinner is planned around your arrival time, with the evening left free for rest.
Ngorongoro Crater wildlife excursion
Travel towards Ngorongoro for the scheduled crater visit. Descend with your guide to explore the floor’s different habitats and watch for mammals and birds. A picnic lunch breaks the day’s wildlife viewing. Ascend after the excursion and continue to your confirmed accommodation in the wider Ngorongoro or Karatu region.
Road journey into the Serengeti
Continue towards the Serengeti, with wildlife viewing after the park entry formalities. The camp location determines how the day’s route is organised and how much driving remains after entering the park. An Olduvai visit can be quoted as an optional stop where timing permits. Reach camp after the agreed game-viewing session and prepare for a full day in the area.
A full day on the Serengeti plains
Spend the day exploring suitable wildlife areas from your camp base. Choose a picnic outing or split morning and afternoon drives according to the agreed programme. Predators, grazers and birds provide interest whether or not migration herds are nearby. The guide adapts the route to current observations and seasonal conditions before returning for the evening.
Flight connection to Zanzibar
Leave the safari camp for the airstrip or airport named in your confirmed flight plan. Depending on the selected route, a road transfer or flight connection may be required before reaching Zanzibar. On arrival, meet the transfer guide and continue to the beach hotel. Enjoy the remaining time at leisure after the mainland travel programme.
Beach time and optional island outings
Keep the day free to enjoy the beach hotel and its surroundings. Optional snorkelling or another locally operated excursion can be requested where suitable. A turtle-focused visit is considered only after reviewing the venue and activity; captive-turtle swimming and feeding are not scheduled inclusions. Return to the hotel at your chosen pace, with any extra outing quoted separately.
Stone Town heritage and return to the beach
Visit Stone Town with a guide who introduces its streets, architecture and layers of cultural history. Follow a route through accessible landmarks and public spaces rather than expecting every building to be open. Lunch can be enjoyed locally at your own expense unless included in your quotation. Return to the beach hotel after the visit, allowing time for the road journey.
Jozani forest and island wildlife
Take an arranged forest visit in the Jozani area to learn about island habitats and observe wildlife responsibly. Red colobus monkeys are a principal interest, with sightings managed from an appropriate distance. A separate restaurant or coastal stop can be requested if its location and timing fit the day. Meals and any additional restaurant booking are confirmed separately from the forest excursion.
Departure from Zanzibar
Enjoy the hotel surroundings until the agreed departure time. Transfer to Zanzibar airport with a margin for road conditions and flight check-in. Hotel check-out and any extended room use are arranged with the property in advance. Meals on this final day depend on the confirmed flight time and hotel plan.
